3. There are many precautions for the use of the buzzer. The buzzer cannot be used as a crystal receiver, because there is an oscillation circuit inside the buzzer, which will drive the internal miniature horn to emit a buzzer after power on. The buzzer is not only a small horn, but also two buzzers, one with a built-in oscillator. One requires an external oscillator, that is, ordinary miniature speakers, the one without an oscillator, cannot be used, because its resistance is generally about 32 ohms, and there are also 8 ohms or 16 ohms, which are low impedance, so they cannot be used.

Judging whether the buzzer is good or bad can be done by two detection methods: one is to use a multimeter to detect the resistance value to judge whether it is good or bad, and the operation is simple and convenient; Another way is to use DC stabilized power supply to judge whether it is good or bad by listening to the sound, accurate and reliable.

Check the buzzer with a multimeter. Before checking the buzzer, identify the positive and negative pins according to the mark on the buzzer to be tested to provide a reference standard for buzzer detection. Use a digital multimeter to test the buzzer below And set the gear knob of the digital multimeter at 200 ohms. The test method is shown in the figure.

Note: Under normal circumstances, the resistance between the positive and negative pins of the buzzer should have a fixed value (usually 8 or 16). When the stylus touches the buzzer pin instantaneously or intermittently, the buzzer will squeak. It is recommended that if the measured resistance between the pins is infinite and there is no or no sound during detection, the buzzer is damaged.
